Rewind to SUMMER! {Georgetown/Lexington Photographer} {Central Kentucky Photographer}

Since it won’t stop snowing and current accumulations are totaling 5 inches+, I found it only appropriate to reflect on warm temps and summertime.
One can only hope that we will get to partake in a “summer break”, considering we are on snow day number SIX I believe? Being a full-time teacher I really appreciate a snow day from time to time, however I do LOVE my summer break!

It’s almost surreal to me, that just this past summer I embarked on my journey in pictures.
I attended a local photography workshop in Lexington, KY with a good friend (both in hopes of perfecting our camera skills in manual as mommies) and came out a week later, inspired to take these learned skills to the next level.

My whole view and respect on the art of photography and photographers has shifted to say the least in half a years time!

This is something I have been scared of being a natural light photographer, but my most recent goal was to practice shooting indoors (considering these frigid temps lately). I love being outside, with lots of room and automatic props available and beautiful light! I am happy to report after a month inside, I am pleasantly surprised:) I already had a set-up prepared for newborns, but wanted to find a way to photograph children as well. A few props later, I now have a cute little in-home studio set-up that I adore. This way, I am able to offer sessions with both babies and children in a comfortable indoor location within Georgetown, KY.

Here’s some of my most recent work!
