Newborn Photography
Since over half of my clients are so new to the world, I wanted to dedicate this blog post to some of these miracles….
I just love newborn photography! For one, these babes are just amazing…. you wouldn’t believe how they will mold comfortably into the coolest positions and actually snooze right through it! Honestly, the entire process of photographing newborns is so neat and different from any other sessions. Whether I meet the mommy-to-be for a maternity session or hear from new parents the day they meet their bundle for the very first time, there’s nothing quite as exciting as new life:) Since I didn’t get to experience holding my own baby until he was already a week old because of an emergency delivery and a longterm stay in the NICU, I have even more appreciation of all the squishy snuggles I get during the session.
I’m so happy for the opportunity to capture these images within the first couple of weeks after birth. Newborns change almost daily it seems, so being able to reflect back and see everything from the very start of life is so special.
If you are in the Central Kentucky area and in search of a newborn photographer, I’d love to chat with you about scheduling a session!
I absolutely LOVE newborn photography! There’s just something magical about holding a newborn baby, and capturing the look between baby and parent when they have that “stare like nobody’s watching” smile on their faces. It’s amazing how you can truly SEE the emotion they are feeling. If I lived in Kentucky, you would certainly be a contender for my baby photographer choices 🙂
Central Kentucky has got to be such a lucky area to have such a wonderful photographer that loves newborns. I was amazed on how you are able to capture such sweetness and magical moments through a camera lense but you did!! My favorite portrait was that antique bucket photo, where the most adorable newborn is wearing that adorable little headpiece and she is sleeping. I know her family is going to love this photograph !! I love the Georgetown and Lexington Kentucky area during the fall, how beautiful it is , I wish I was closer to you!!
What wonderful colors and textures! Love this beautiful newborn image – You did a fabulous job Clay!
Newborn photography is a favorite of mine as well. My favorite part of being a baby photographer is capturing those brand new little people while they are still squishy and bendy. Getting the whole family in there is awesome too. Central Kentucky is so lucky to have your talent!
